RSD Bond Updates

Thanks to the community's support of the 2025 bond, construction crews are hard at work this summer making important improvements across Redmond School District schools.

From modernizing aging building systems and improving school safety to adding air conditioning, replacing roofs, upgrading athletic facilities, and creating better learning spaces, these projects are investments that will benefit students, staff, and our community for years to come.

Many of these projects will be completed before students return this fall, while larger projects at Redmond High School and Tumalo Community School will continue into 2027. Here's a look at what's happening across the district.

Redmond High School

Campus Modernization
One of the district's largest bond projects is underway at Redmond High School. This multi-year modernization includes replacing aging heating and cooling infrastructure, upgrading fire sprinkler and alarm systems, replacing the roof, remodeling the theater, Career and Technical Education (CTE) classrooms, commons, new wrestling addition, and locker rooms, installing new LED lighting throughout the building, and updating HVAC controls.

Many of these improvements replace systems that have reached the end of their useful life. For example, aging hydronic piping has caused frequent leaks and reduced the efficiency of the school's heating system. Replacing these systems will improve reliability, and reduce maintenance needs.
Estimated completion: August 2027

New Visitor Football Bleachers
New elevated visitor bleachers are being installed at the football stadium, providing increased seating capacity and improved sightlines for spectators.
Estimated completion: July 2026

Turf Baseball and Softball Infields
The varsity baseball and softball infields are being converted to turf, creating more playable fields while reducing water use and ongoing maintenance.
Estimated completion: August 2026

No Access To Inside Redmond High School

For the safety of our community and construction crews, there is no public or staff access to Redmond High School during construction this summer.

If you need to access the Redmond High athletic fields, please park at the Jaqua Sports Complex or along SW 23rd Street and walk to the fields.

Please do not park in the front parking lot at the school, as it is an active construction zone. Also, please do not park in the bus lane at any time.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation as work continues to improve Redmond High School.
